About

Founded in 2005 The Rubens Moraes Educational Institute (RUMO) is a non-profit organization created to promote socio-economic progress in Brazil. Situated in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo State, RUMO is dedicated to provide education, social services, and healthcare to children within specific disadvantaged communities. There are currently 80 children enrolled from the ages 4 to 8 participating in the program.

Targeting early elementary age children, our goal is to create nurturing environments that will expand fundamental knowledge and motivate life-long learning. Using education as a tool, RUMO seeks to reduce poverty and promote a higher quality of life and overall standard of the living within the communities where it operates.

RUMO counts with the contribution of a wide range of professionals, including educational specialists, business and administrative consultants, legal representatives, and medical professionals. Each has dedicated their time and experience to design and organized the program while expanding RUMO’s mission.
